The front deck,
yard, and garden patio allow for the seamless integration of the
interior and exterior spaces, lending to a comfortable and natural
mountain
atmosphere. This quiet setting is
complemented by expansive views of sandstone cliffs and forested ridge
lines from almost every room in the house. The lot also
encompasses a perrenial stream, which
meanders through the property, just outside the
bedroom windows in spring and summer.
Half-way between Vail Village
and
East Vail, the house is located only a few minutes from the center of
the Village, by car. The free Vail bus runs every quarter hour,
and
stops conveniently down the road from the driveway. This is a
welcome alternative for Visitors who choose to avoid the hassle and
cost of seasonal
parking, and it is a wonderful option for
independent children.
The house is situated in a prvate setting, secluded amid a
grove of Aspen, Cottonwood and Spruce. A quaint breakfast nook at
the far end of the Kitchen overlooks the garden, the perrenial stream
and wooded acreage on the southern flanks of Bald Mountain. Many
of our guests have commented on the abundance of wildlife (deer, elk,
fox) wandering in these peaceful woods.
